1. AppNexus adds new tools to their box

Earlier this week AppNexus announced that they’re two new tools, Advanced Deal Metrics and Bid Error Report. Designed to improve communication between buyers and sellers, the new tools with address and identify deficincies with deals as well as real-time bidding strategies. While the tools are still in alpha testing, MediaPost breaks down what publishers and advertisers can expect.  

2. Google sends strong message with new update

Google has two new updates to mobile searches. An algorithmic update coming out next year and an aesthetic feature out now which will remove the “mobile-friendly” label in search results. In an effort to provide users with a better experience, the aesthetic feature will also punish sites that use interstitials. 3.  Power moves in header bidding

If you’re a large publisher, life just got better. Header bidding wrappers, a new trend which allows publishers to put ad impressions up for simultaneous bids by multiple groups of buyers. Helping to manage potential buyers without slowing down load times, Time Inc recently became the first major publisher to use header bidding wrappers. While they’re become a buzzwords, AdAge weighs the pros and cons.
